Short version: we don't track you.
What we collect
No accounts, no cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising pixels. Standard web server logs record IP address, requested URL, and user agent; these are used only to diagnose faults.
Third parties
Three external requests happen when you load a ZIP page:
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces. Google receives your IP.
- OpenStreetMap — serves the map embed. OSM receives your IP.
- National Weather Service — your browser requests the forecast directly, sending the ZIP's coordinates, not yours.
Self-hosting the fonts removes the first of these.
Data about places, not people
Everything we publish is aggregate statistics about geographic areas, sourced from the US Census Bureau. Nothing here identifies an individual.
