Percentile ranks are computed across
all US ZIP codes with a value for that measure. "Higher than 92% of US ZIP codes" means exactly
that — it is not a score or an index.
What we do not publish. There is
no reliable federal crime statistic at ZIP code level — the FBI reports by law enforcement agency,
not by ZIP. Any site showing you a "crime score" for a ZIP code is using a proprietary model. We
would rather omit it than invent it.
